This sword takes inspiration from the Japanese Katana wielded by the powerful and brave character Michonne in "The Walking Dead" comic book and series. The blade is crafted from renowned T10 high-carbon steel, known for its reliability and durability in cutting practice. It undergoes proper heat treatment and oil quenching to achieve ideal hardness and flexibility, and a thorough hand polish provides a mirror-like shine.
The sword's full tang is safely secured by two pegs. The handle consists of a wooden core, tightly wrapped with rayskin, and a comfortable hineri-maki (cord wrap style) wrap. Meanwhile, the scabbard, made from hardwood, is partially covered with a wrap similar to that in the series; a belt loop is included for easier carriage. The fittings, made from alloy, are engraved and decorated with elements from the TWD world. This Katana, ideal for cosplay, also serves as a functional implement for light-cutting practice and safe Iaido training.
