This straight, single-edged blade is a Tang Dao sword, originated in the golden era of Tang Dynasty China. This set the standard and norm for many other East Asian swords. The construction consists of folded pattern steel, creating numerous Damascus-like layers and patterns. It possesses an authentic clay-temper, producing the very visible and iconic hamon.
The scabbard, made from high-quality ebony wood, complements its handle with a hardwood core. A traditional Chinese cord wrap ensures a firmer grasp. Matching fittings, crafted from brass and copper, showcase a dragon and dragon-skin design. The blade engravings are customizable, and different levels of sharpness can be chosen. Each sword purchase includes a free sword bag.
