Musashi Miyamoto, one of the most famous Japanese samurai, won over 60 duels in one-on-one combat. This blade is a take on the Katana that he used, with an open, ringed handguard. This particular Musashi sword is made of T10 high carbon steel that has been properly treated, quenched, and polished for a bright shine. It features a bohi (groove) to make a tachikaze (the sound of a perfect swing).
The full tang, double-pegged handle is a traditionally wrapped tsuka-maki and ray skin, allowing for a firm grip. In contrast, the scabbard is made of hardwood with a shiny gloss. Its fittings, which can be fully disassembled, are made of alloy.
Ideal for beginners in Iaido or Kendo training, this piece is perfect for honing your kamae (Katana stances), and reaching the expert level of Miyamoto Musashi himself.
