The ancient Chinese believed that snakes symbolized good luck, prosperous upcoming harvests, and successful reproduction. This "Snake Jian" sword pays tribute to these ancient beliefs, with various snake forms serving as its main motif. The sword is crafted from pattern steel mixed with high carbon 1095 steel, folded 13 times to produce approximately 8192 visible, beautiful, Damascus-like blade layers.
The blade is polished using traditional hazuya methods, giving it a bright shine and reflection. The sword features a dark, black hue due to the quality ebony wood used for the hourglass-shaped handle and its scabbard. Both the fittings and mountings are made from copper and brass, with the handguard being an exceptionally unique piece.
This Snake Jian comes in sharpened and unsharpened versions, making it suitable for cutting practice or decoration. Free optional engraving is available, and each blade includes a free sword bag.
