Citadel's rustic Rosewood Javelina is one of the latest drop point knives, designed to be finely balanced and melding smoothly in one's hand to offer a comfortable grip. The Javelina is limited to only 50 units.
Forged from imported DNH7 steel and differentially hardened using Japanese methods, the resulting blade is sharp, durable, resilient, and retains its edge remarkably well. Due to the hardening process, the rough scaled blade has a hard edge while maintaining a more flexible spine. Additionally, sharpening the blade to a full convex profile also adds to the durability of the edge. The blade's spine is notched near the handle to allow for the application of pressure with the thumb for more controlled and precise cuts.
As its name indicates, the handle of this knife is made from rosewood. This knife comes sheathed in a full grain leather belt sheath. However, since DNH7 is a high carbon steel, it should not be stored in the leather sheath long term. Instead, a nylon zipper pouch is included for long term storage.
