Fantasy fans are no strangers to halflings, a fictional race similar to humans, but only about half as tall. One of the most famous Halfling sword examples is Sting, made by elves in Gondolin and wielded by both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, J.R.R. Tolkien's hobbits who lived in the Shire.
Legacy Arms' version of the Halfling Sword is a hand forged short sword with a double edged leaf shaped blade made from 5160 high carbon spring steel. Due to the presence of chromium, silicon, and manganese, the tempering process then produces a flexible and resilient blade with excellent edge retention.
The blade along with the slightly curved cross guard, pommel, and sheath accoutrements have a matte steel finish. This sword also comes with a hardwood scabbard wrapped in black leather and fitted with a steel chape and throat accents.
