This is the Chinese "Dragon God Jian," named after the mythological and mysterious dragon beast that roamed through many great tales in ancient times. The dragon is depicted flying over the handle, handguard, and scabbard on top of twisted patterns to further enhance its visuals. This sword is made from pattern steel, folded multiple times to produce many Damascus-style layers over its blade.
The traditionally 8-sided blade has undergone clay-tempering to produce an authentic hamon while hardening its edges. The fittings are made from brass, while the wooden handle and scabbard are adorned with engraved copper dragon accessories. This piece is available in both a sharpened and unsharpened version and is suitable for cutting practice, Tai Chi, Kung Fu training, and decor.
Free optional engraving is also offered. The sword comes with a storage bag for safekeeping and the fittings can be fully assembled/disassembled if desired.
